Dairy Club had another successful day out at the Murray Bridge Show. This show allows our juniors of the club to have many of their first show ring outings and is a fantastic event to support youth. Our junior students spent Friday afternoon washing, prepping, and practicing with the heifers, with instruction from some of the club leaders, before heading up overnight.

We started off the day with the heifer classes. With our little Illawarra heifer, Glenbrook Little Princess 19 placing 6th in a large baby class with Izzy Reilly leading. Vachel Sultan Laura, our Brown Swiss, received Junior Grand Champion Other Breeds with Isa Ahlgren and Billabong Tatoo Sunshine Junior Grand Champion Holstein with Cerys Thomas. Sunshine continued to impress by taking out Junior Supreme Champion of all breeds at the show.

Our success continued in the afternoon with handler completions. With students placing in every class entered. The success students have in these classes is a credit to their dedication at lunch clubs!
Junior Handlers
5th - Molly Cartridge with Laura

Intermediate Handlers - consisted of 2 heats.
1st - Liv Storey
2nd - Quba Verwey with Spangle
3rd - Wallace Brown
4th - Anabelle Stead with Maddie
And Matilda Wyatt and Lyly Mudge also making the top 8 from both heats.

Senior Handlers
1st - Cerys Thomas
3rd - Rose Buckton with Spangle

Liv, Quba and Cerys competed in the Supreme Champion Handler, with Liv Storey taking the Reserve Supreme Champion Handler.

What a way to finish Term 3!! Well done to the team and a huge thank you to Miss McEvoy, Allan and Serena for their support. And another thank you to the Murray Bridge show and particularly the Afford's for a wonderful day! Happy Holidays! 🏅🏆
