The Karoonda Farm Fair and the SA Shearing Contractors Association hosted the 2025 SA Schools Wool Handling Competition on Friday 28^th March. Senior students from the Urrbrae Sheep Club elected to attend and formed three teams of three to compete in this high-level competition against a range of other SA schools. The teams were judged for their technique including picking up and throwing fleeces, skirting fleeces and sweeping areas ready for the next fleece.  The Urrbrae teams achieved outstanding results including First Place for Urrbrae Team 2: Katrina Brokus, Lianie Jackson and Indy Veldstra – Finlay. Congratulations and well done to all students involved who represented our school exceptionally well. Urrbrae was the winning school the last time the competition was held in 2023 so back-to-back titles is a great result!
