Urrbrae invited to assist with launch of National Conference – LambEX
During Week 4 of Term 1 Urrbrae students, sheep and wool attended the launch of the National Conference – LambEX that will be held in Adeliade in July 2026. The launch involved many leaders and stakeholders from the sheep industry form across Australia and also the State Minister of Primary Industries, Honourable Claire Scriven.
Fresh off delivering a highly successful LambEx 2024 conference, South Australia has been named as the host for the next edition of Australia’s leading sheep industry conference. A record 1,500 industry participants attended LambEx 2024 at the Adelaide Convention Centre, representing the fields of sheep production, processing, innovation, science, education and government.
Kerry Harris, the Chair of 28 National, (a wholly owned subsidiary of Sheep Producers Australia and which is the custodian of LambEx) said conference organisers had delivered a fantastic event in Adelaide which greatly benefited the sheep industry.
Well done to our Year 11 students Lainie Jackson and Katrina Brokus and Year 10 students Alex Knight, Henry Healey and Hunter Hickinbotham who represented Urrbrae with pride and professionalism. The event provided an excellent opportunity to promote our great school at a national level. We look forward to the conference in 2026 which will see over 50 Urrbrae students attending!
