Murray Bridge Calf Day Success
During the holidays Dairy Club students attended the Murray Bridge Calf Day with our big fleet of 11 heifers. The Murray Bridge Calf Day has a focus on youth and with that many of the junior club members were able to put their skills and practice to show for the first time in the ring. Students also had the opportunity to show for breeders and had some fantastic results on the lead. The day was a large day with over 90 entries and was really competitive!
We had many students do a fantastic job, particularly in Junior Judging and Handlers. Please see the results below!
Junior Judging Champion – Lilybel Guidolin
11-13 YO Handler – 1st Wallace Brown
14 YO Handler – 1st Liv Storey, 2nd Lilybel Guidolin, 3rd Jett Theile, 4th Indie Guidolin, 5th Aurora Murphy-Eales and 6th Jake Turner.
Junior Champion Handler – Liv Storey
Junior Champion Reserve Handler – Lilybel Guidolin
15-17 YO Handler – 1st Cerys Thomas
We also had some 2024 Old Scholars show some awesome results in the show and handlers ring!
Overall was a fantastic day and we would like to thank all students for their effort and participation. We would also like to say a huge thank you to Holstein SA, Courtney Afford, the committee and the sponsors for putting on such a fantastic show and for our breeders supplying us with animals and support!
