2025 Vintage begins in earnest at Urrbrae

The Urrbrae grape harvest is now in full swing with the red wine variety Merlot being the first to be picked, crushed, and pressed by our very enthusiastic Year 10 and 11 Viticulture and Winemaking students. Year 7, 8 and 9 Agriculture students have also ably assisted with the harvesting as part of their practical lessons. The grape growing season has seen ideal climatic conditions with predominately steady temperatures (minimal low and high temperature fluctuations) and relatively low humidity during the maturation period. This has resulted in grapes of extremely high quality that will produce excellent red wines across all our varieties grown in the Urrbrae Estate vineyard.
Our award-winning Urrbrae wines can be tasted and purchased at the Urrbrae Barn Markets or through our Front Office during Term.
