Library
Welcome to Our School Library – A Hub for Learning, Reading, and Connection
The Urrbrae Agricultural High School Library is at the heart of our school community — a dynamic space where students come to study, research, collaborate, and relax. Every student from Years 7 to 10 engages in major inquiry-based projects here, as part of their core curriculum. We also play an essential role in delivering Activating Identities and Futures, a key requirement of the SACE.
In addition to our welcoming physical space, our Virtual Library offers 24/7 access to a wide range of digital resources, including academic databases, eBooks, audiobooks, and other research tools, supporting student learning anytime, anywhere.
Fostering a Love of Reading
Literacy is a central focus of our Library program. Our extensive collection includes the latest fiction releases, popular graphic novels, and a broad non-fiction selection that caters to all interests and reading levels. With over 1,300 digital titles available on any device, students are empowered to read wherever they are. We proudly support all readers — from confident book lovers to those still building their skills.
We are also proud to lead the way in student participation in the Premier’s Reading Challenge, holding the highest number of participants for any high school in the state – a true testament to our vibrant reading culture.
More Than Just Books
The Urrbrae Agricultural High School Library is a lively and inclusive space, offering a variety of enrichment activities throughout the year to spark curiosity and promote a lifelong love of learning. Many students choose to spend time here before school and during lunch, enjoying a welcoming environment with engaging programs and activities, including visiting and resident animals!
Whether you’re here to dive into a novel, work on a project, or simply connect with friends, our Library is a safe, friendly space for all.
